IV. Letters and Communications:


Mr. Damon recognized Henry Township trustees John Stewart and Jim Wymer who gave an update on the Deweyville Rd. project. They reported that the contractor is addressing a couple of soft spots and is grading the existing pavement at the west end of the project in order to facilitate the joining of the new pavement. [more]

Robert Haynes addressed council about the slow EMS response when he called for assistance a couple of months ago for his ailing wife. He reported that he had to call twice and it was over 20 minutes before they arrived.

Malcom Cameron addressed council on the following:

1) The village should sell water rather than raising rates.

2) Council should require CSX to fix the Tarr St. crossing.

3) Council should make the alley next to the Post Office one way south.

4) Council should make the downtown business force their smoking customers to smoke in the rear not on Main St.

5) Mr. Cameron showed pictures of pot holes and poor playground equipment maintenance in the park. He asked for permission to use cemetery dirt to fill a pothole. Referred to COTW. [more]

Harold Haynes addressed council to discuss his plan for a festival to be held on village owned property on N. Main St. He explained that he had met the conditions set by council at the 03-16-10 meeting.  [more]

Richard Van Mooy addressed council to complement the street department for opening the clogged tile that was causing three properties to flood. He also complemented Street Superintendent Wickard for meeting with Henry Township on his own time to secure their action on the portion of their tiles that are the township’s responsibility. [more]
